Galle Fort (130 km, 1.5 hours drive) — Galle Fort in Sri Lanka is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A historic fortified city on the southwest coast, originally built by the Portuguese in 1588 and extensively strengthened by the Dutch in the 17th century. A famous site blending European architecture and South Asian traditions.
