Tour Sri Lanka Between Cruise Ports

Docked at Hambantota. Boarding at Colombo or Galle. Why spend that time on a bus when you can explore Galle Fort, watch sea turtles hatch, and trace the most beautiful coastline in South Asia — and still arrive at your next port on time?

A Rare Offering

Why Most Cruise Passengers Miss This Opportunity

When a cruise ship docks at Hambantota but the next port of call is Colombo, most passengers stay onboard or take a brief port-side stroll. They don't realise they're sitting at one end of Sri Lanka's most beautiful drive.

Between Hambantota and Colombo lies Galle Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Southern coastal highway, sea turtle hatcheries, whale watching waters, and the colonial grace of Bentota. You can see all of this — and still board your ship on time.

Very few tour operators coordinate inter-port logistics with this level of precision. We do it regularly, and we've never left a passenger stranded at the wrong port.

Timing & Logistics

How We Handle the Timing

Two ports, one day, zero stress. Here's how we make it work.

Plan Around Both Departure Times

Share both your Hambantota disembarkation time and your Colombo/Galle boarding deadline. We reverse-engineer a perfect timeline from there.

We Know Every Shortcut

Southern Expressway for bulk distance, A2 coastal road for the scenic section. We switch based on traffic and your time budget.

Port Re-boarding Lead Time

Most cruise lines require you back at the gangway 30–60 minutes before departure. We build in a 60-minute buffer as standard.

Live Communication Throughout

Your driver stays in contact with us. If port times shift or traffic builds, we adjust stops instantly — no surprises.

Inter-Port Transfer FAQs

Common questions from cruise passengers planning this unique service.

Is this service designed specifically for cruise passengers?
Yes. Inter-port transfers are our most specialised offering. We build the entire itinerary around your two port call times — disembarkation at Hambantota and boarding deadline at Colombo or Galle. Very few operators in Sri Lanka offer this with genuine timing expertise.
How is the pricing structured for this service?
Because every inter-port run is unique (different stops, group size, route variations), we provide a custom quote via WhatsApp. Typically, prices range from $150–$280 USD per vehicle depending on route and stops. We are transparent — no surprises on the day.
What if I want stops at Yala before heading to Colombo?
Hambantota to Yala to Colombo is a very long day (Yala is actually in the opposite direction to Colombo). We'd recommend Yala for a Hambantota shore excursion instead. For the Colombo run, the coast road attractions are far better suited and more time-efficient.
How do I find you at Hambantota Port?
We meet you at the main passenger terminal exit with a name board. After disembarkation, follow signs to the passenger exit — it's a short walk. Your driver will be visible as soon as you step out.
Can we do a Colombo city tour before boarding the ship?
Absolutely. If your Colombo arrival is early enough, we can include a 1–2 hour Colombo city drive (Gangaramaya Temple, Galle Face Green, Pettah market area) before dropping you at the port. Just mention this when you contact us.
What vehicle will we be in?
For couples or small groups (2–3 passengers), a modern air-conditioned sedan or SUV. For groups of 4–7, we use a comfortable Toyota KDH van. All vehicles include bottled water and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
